This book helped me understand how to understand my woman's cycle and to calculate when is the appropriate time to get pregnant. Sadly, in this say and age, the so called SAD diet, stress, lack of sleep and relaxation adds to the vicious circle of factors that are not helpful at all if you are trying to get pregnant. I agree with the author- people need to get the healthy basics right first! Short but informative read that encourages you to slow down a bit.

6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. Essential for all fans By Amidanshi I've been a Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) fan for many years. While I'm rather partial to a certain young Earl, I find all the characters quite intriguing and fascinating, so it's natural that I would enjoy this collection of art featuring Ciel, Sebastian, and the rest of the gang, all illustrated by the original artist, Yana Toboso. Also included are some illustrations of her first work (which nobody even remembers, sadly) called Rust Blaster, as well as a few other pieces.The volume, which is much too short for my preferences, features glossy, full-color pages filled with spreads and covers of primarily Bocchan, Sebaschan, though several also feature Grell and the other minor characters. At the end of the book, Toboso-sensei includes a small commentary on each of the pieces. The hardbound book includes two small bookmarks, one attached to each cover, as well. In traditional Japanese style, the book reads from right to left, though it doesn't much matter as the contents are entirely visual.Any fan of the series, and especially those who have a love for Sebastian and Ciel, really owe it to themselves to pick up this volume. I believe in supporting the artists and authors whose works I find enjoyable, and your purchase of this work also helps to do that. This is a beautiful book that will be a part of my collection for many years to come, and I'm certainly hoping for a second volume (and a third, and....)!

However the book arrived with no protective bubble wrap or anything...so it came dented and scratched. The metallic embellishment was scratched and coming off. I give it two stars for the poor condition it arrived in although it was supposed to be new. I like my books in new condition, not slightly used.

Silverstone Skillful cartoonist Gavin Aung Than adapts inspirational writings of a wide variety of people into cartoon vignettes in this collection of his comics. The writings come from Isaac Asimov to Sir Ken Robinson, from The Dalai Lama to William Shakespeare. For each of the stories, Than subtly shifts his drawing style to match the theme as well as the setting.His poignant depiction of Albert Camus's love story in 'The Middle of Winter' contrasts with persistent effort of George Mallory in 'Because It's There'. Percy Shelley's famous poem 'Ozymandias' leaps out of the page as does Kahlil Gibran's 'Work is Love Made Visible'. With each story, Than rapidly draws us into each world, and breathes life into the text with his original drawings. Than is able to entertain while at the same time reinforcing the messages from the authors.The themes of many of these episodes overlap and blend with Than's autobiographical stories. They call upon us to be true to our own nature, to set out on our own and to make a difference in the world.

Though I can't predict exactly how you will feel about it, I'm willing to bet that if you need some inspiration in your life or if you just like positive messages and cool, sometimes quirky drawings you will LOVE this book.I really like that his work touches on such a wide variety of situations like dealing with the frustrations of a dead-end job, trying to lose weight/get in shape, staying persistent in the face of adversity, the ups and downs of romantic relationships, finding and staying true to your self as a person and your passions.I have 11 of his posters in my classroom and sometimes I tell my students to go read a particular one when they're stuck on a problem or feeling frustrated or lost. They seem to enjoy them and take heart and that makes me glad.This book and it's predecessor may not be the solution to all of your life's challenges (or maybe they are, lol!) but they'll certainly give you some inspiration to get a start or keep at whatever it is you need to do to get where you want to be.Gavin, if you're reading this, "THANKS A MILLION!" XD

A lot of great stuff drawn here By Paul In a nutty shell, the author, or rather the illustrator, takes short stories or passages written by famous people and turns then into visual narrative. A lot of hits, some misses. The Amy Pohler piece was particularly well done, and turning Robert Kennedy’s speech into a dragonrider parable was inspired. The tomboy who wants to be a wrestler is also well presented, and this version of Shakespeare’s “All the world’s a stage” from “As You Like It” should be shown to all those struggling to understand what The Bard meant. Some didn’t work at all; even when the original words were potent, the artwork didn’t seem to match, or simply laid there. My favorite poem, Oxymondius, is here in a very literal adaption that doesn’t add anything to the original, but on the other hand Phenomenal Woman, by Maya Angelou, is as powerful as its words, and hits harder with the added visuals. The overwhelming theme here is that only by facing your fears will you defeat them. There’s a small summary at the end of each person whose story is used. Some were new to me, and therefore a delight, especially Margaret E. Knight. . . bonus points for the accidental rhyme.

This book was recommended to me by a friend By Jen This book was recommended to me by a friend, after I talked with her about our mutual friend who is having trouble in her marriage. I am going to visit this mutual friend this weekend, and, since she is a devout Christian (and I am not), I wanted to see if I could lend any help while talking to her. I really enjoyed reading this book and thought that the advice that the author gave was great. I like that the author, though giving God as an answer, also notes that He doesn’t make miracles happen overnight, and that the two people involved in the marriage have to be willing to make things work. I also like that the author says that, with the examples given in this book to try to save the marriage, every situation is different. And, because of this, people need to look at their own situations and perhaps tweak the answers in the book a bit to fit the needs of the two people involved. I thought that was a really practical approach. This book was really well thought out and honestly, I thought the ideas given for helping the marriage could be applicable in any relationship (after reading it, I thought that I may need to use some of the communication advice for my relationship with my mom). It is a great resource to have, no matter who you are, or with whom you are having relationship difficulties.

All married couples should read this brilliant book By Hammy I have been married for five years and my relationship with my wife have seen many ups and downs. I think, married life is very different where you have to learn a lot of things in order to maintain a good relationship with your partner. Usually, people start their married life without getting prepared about it and soon the dream of an ideal married life becomes a nightmare.This book may be short but it touches all the important aspects of married life and offer useful guidance. I am really impressed the way Jamie Monroe explained everything beautifully and drew the attention of the reader to sensitive yet important aspects of married life in a very professional way.It can be said without the shadow of any doubt that all married couples should read this book in order to save their relationships and ensure to make it successful.

It tells you exactly the importance of faith in your marriage and how to rebuild your faith together through your marriage. The big issue here is learning how to get to know your partner again. How often people get married and then after a short time you don't see your partner as you once did. You need to learn to know them once again.Finally, the Jamie hits on the importance of communication over isolation and getting your love stoked again. This is a a great resource for taking your stale or ok marriage and really giving it a boost. This is a wonderful resource you won't want to miss.

About the Author Harris “Hershey” Rosen, a graduate of Harvard, has focused on controlling chaos since 1954. First, as Financial Control Officer in the U.S. Army, where he received a Letter of Commendation for improvement to its worldwide accounting system. Next, on to satisfying everyone’s sweet tooth, he ran a candy company for 40 years, developing a system for locating ANY item housed in five factories, covering 600,000 sq. ft. Following “retirement,” Hershey went on to become a mediator and settled over 200 disputes for the State of Rhode Island and The Community Mediation Center of Rhode Island. He was also asked to team-teach management courses at the University of Rhode Island, where he enthusiastically challenged the text book with real-life experience, to the delight and edification of the students. Always passionate about assisting others, Hershey has been the director or trustee of numerous boards and organizations. Hershey, who lives in Providence, Rhode Island, can now relax (ha!) with his beloved wife, Myrna, and enjoy visits with their combined five children and ten grandchildren.

Tener You may find other books that help you record computer passwords, bank account information and other important things but this book goes way beyond, including contact information on all the people you depend on to take care of your house and other affairs, all the upkeep you need to do on your home and other information your partner or family may not know if you were not around.This is the kind of book you buy more than one of! I bought one for my dad to put together his household records and one for my husband and I to fill out for each other.Don't wait for a health crisis, though. Fill it out while you have plenty of time and don't feel pressured--before anyone in your family is in failing health.

By Rex Leonowicz This text is an extremely detailed guide that helps you and your financial managers, record keepers, etc. to maintain and manage your personal information so that end-of-life arrangements run very smoothly. The genius behind this book is that it's designed not only to help you remain organized and up-to-speed on keeping all of your effects in order, but it's also extremely helpful for any family members/survivors to use in concordance with your final documents, etc. The grief of loss is hard enough without having to deal with everything that goes into executing wills, dealing with properties personal effects, finances, etc. What's so helpful about this book is it not only provides file-form examples, it allows you to explain in-depth where assets come from, how to access them, the ins-and-outs of payments, etc. It's meant to help you keep yourself organized and keep your loved ones (and anyone employed to help) well-informed and on-task, as well.It's also interspersed with humorous comics, explanations and anecdotes that stress the importance of keeping organized in this way, and helpful tips for how to write and upkeep your guide to your information.It outlines what you need to do step-by-step in the event of a loved one's death and offers a helpful timeline of tasks that need to be dealt with, from who to first call, how to deal with funeral arrangements, how to communicate with your job, to how to figure out who is entitled to what. With death being often such a difficult shock, it's very important to have a book like this to help you keep prepared in advance so that relatives can make arrangements easily. A guide like this makes a really stressful, daunting reality much more feasible to tackle. The fact that the guide itself is so expansive in its reach is also really impressive. I love that it explains the nuts and bolts behind why you should keep track of all of your assets, records, etc, and then also gives detailed advice and strategies for keeping good records (such as creating tables, filing documents, etc). It also presents the reader with a well-organized and itemized table of contents, making it easy to search within if you have specific needs or questions.

So Happy to Know EVERYTHING I Need to Tell My Family - SO EASY By Tracy Hart It's so hard to know and remember everything that needs to be conveyed to my family, but this book covers it all! I like that led me to write out "why" I'd made some decisions. And to have an online app that I can use to record most of the info. - so easy. I like that I can go back and fill things in after I've had a chance to think things over or gather documents for info. that I need. (Also will probably use info. in book on downsizing!)
