By Patricia Smith Let me admit a few things: 1) I am friends with Nick; 2) I have never been married; and 3) I don't read self-help books (more of a "stop your whining, you know what to do so just do it" person). So I read Nick's book with some trepidation. What if I didn't like it? What if it's boring (this doesn't relate to me)? What a pleasant surprise! Yes, this is primarily about marriage and how to make yours better but I think a lot of what Nick has to say can be applied to all kinds of relationships. Keeping score - Guilty! And he's got one wicked East Coast sense of humor.

By Camilla Make sure you set aside time when you start reading this book because once you do, you can't put it down. Nick's personal stories will have you spellbound from cover to cover. But Nick doesn't stop there. He also provides action steps and solutions on how to improve your relationship with your spouse, based on what has worked and what hasn't as he has worked his way off the couch. An excellent book for both men and women!

By Scott Maderer Wow, this book is going on a very short list of great Marriage books along with Love and Respect and Wild at Heart. As a Stewardship Coach, I've met with couples and individuals to focus on good leadership and good finances. This book is going to become a go-to resource for men who want to change in how they lead their families. The focus on how you can only change yourself, but through changing yourself you can change everything is the key to growth.I appreciate the openness and transparency, as well as humor, that Nick brings to this revealing look at his journey from the couch to place where he is today, off the couch and in the game.
