Custody battle - Part One By Mathini 3 In this first part of the story a loving mother describes her ordeal in attempting to get custody of her two young kids. This seems to be an emotionally draining and drawn out custody battle case that the author has experienced in a foreign land. I find this a well written account of a true story and hope the next part will give us an insight to the childrens' emotional state and also expect a very fair outcome from the legal process in favour of the author and the innocent kids involved.

This book was the first work I have read by Aba and I really enjoyed it.Now I don't usually quote books I have given less than 5 stars to but this booklet had one that felt as if it was taken from my mind: "You had a purpose in life before this relationship, and you still have a purpose after." She spoke the exact thoughts I have about breakup and I would love more people to know this. Breakups aren't the end of the world and I loved how Aba lets you know that throughout 21 days.This booklet is super interactive since it has a portion for the reader to write down journal entries.This is perfect for those who don't have a friend to confide in or help them stay away from depression. Aba temporarily steps up to that role and gives advice in an incredibly nice form. She empowers you and lets you know you are worth the time it takes to help you get through it.The only reason I didn't give this more than 3 stars was because I'm not currently going through a breakup so it was just a reading experience for me. Although, I was transported back into THE breakup in my past, and I can honestly say this book would have helped me some, if not a lot, during that time.

Feels good to be cleansed By Lindsay Walker I'm generally not a review-writer, however, I'm so excited about this book and what I believe it can do for the lives of women that I felt obliged. Haven't we all had our heart broken at least one time in life? We often convince ourselves that we're whole again after time has passed from breaking up but really, we're carrying the emotional baggage that was dumped on us into the next relationship. Even if you're not presently going through a heartbreak but still remember the pain and confusion of what it felt like to try to put the pieces back together, I strongly recommend this book as part of your healing process. I especially hope that anyone with a teenage daughter, sister or friend passes this book on as a resource for insight and empowerment when that first breakup does come knocking (as we all know it will). Between the 21-Day Cleanse and a little Beyoncé, the road to happiness won't seem so far :)

To be honest, I thought it would be a bit more heavy-handed, considering the subject matter, but it was quite the opposite. The uncomplicated style in which the author gives simple suggestions and encouragement was actually refreshing. The journal component is an excellent way to marry the ideas of processing new information, reflecting and then taking action. When I read the book I was not going through a breakup at all, just had my interest peaked by the title and decided to read it. However, I would definitely recommend it to anyone going through, or having gone through a break-up.

The most controversial aspect of Devlin's work is his argument that today's sexual dystopia is rooted just as much in women's nature as men's, exploring such taboo topics as female hypergamy (mating up), narcissism, infidelity, deceptiveness, and masochism. By showing their biological basis, F. Roger Devlin offers a non-traditional defense of traditional sexual morals and institutions and shows us the way out of today's sexual dystopia. F. By Karl Excellent introduction into the omnipresent and contemptible gender power struggle that is currently tearing Western Civilization by the seams. Dr. Devlin provides a penetrating analysis on the biological and "economical" roles of both genders starting off from its evolutionary inceptions to its unyielding influence in present-day society, as most informed bystanders can deduce. He compares and contrast the fundamental differences of both gender's biological imperatives and how they have been arrested through cultural and social norms for the benefit of civilization by way of marriage and with it the relatively recent conception of fatherhood (both international phenomena).The book (composed of separate essays previously published) separates itself from most other tracks on gender that you might have read mostly, because of its accessibility, like Jack Donovan's "The Way of Men." He does not sacrifice his argument on gender and feminism for the sake of offending any politically-correct sensibilities, as such, he deconstructs feminist ideology and mentality with a lucid and dispassionate precision.Essays do not, however, delve too deep into intergender relations that would help the average man (married or single), for a more complete study into male-female intergender relations in contemporary western female-ordered society, I would recommend "The Rational Male" by Rollo Tomassi. A more thorough view on ancient female ordered societies "The Female-Centered Society" by Steven Adams has an excellent focus given to not just African matriarchal societies of the past and present, but also their abundance in North/South American, Polynesian, and Asia countries. And for a more thorough analysis of the institution of marriage and its cultural significance "The Future of Marriage" by David Blankenhorn provides a concrete argument from a sociological and anthropological rather than economical perspective.

Insightful, Eye Opening, Challenging, Well Written By Seek Wisdom Excellent analysis and explanation of the rapid changes the sexual revolution and feminism has unleashed on Western Civilization since 1960. Insightful, discerning, eye opening, and well written. Must reading for any man who is married, considering marriage in the future, a religious leader, a family court judge, or a marriage counselor. Dr. Devlin begins with fundamental principles; sperm is abundant and eggs are scarce, and women are not naturally monogamous, then he builds out from these basics.

Roger Devlin lays bare the disastrous consequences of decades of sustained ideological assault on the traditional family. Like so many other ancient institutions, monogamous marriage and patriarchal gender roles probably evolved in post-Paleolithic societies to reconcile human biology with economic and political stability. Abandon these traditions, and what (re)emerges isn't some Summer-of-Love-style "sexual utopia" but a brutally Darwinian sexual order similar to what exists in chimpanzee bands: most of the females compete to mate with a small group of socially dominant males, leaving the majority of males childless and sexually frustrated. This, Devlin demonstrates convincingly, is where we are heading today.While such a society would be cruel and unpleasant (and also violent and unstable, as societies which make outcasts of too many men tend to be), it wouldn't necessarily be facing demographic doom as long as the women actually *had* children with the tiny group of high-status men. However, the availability of birth control and the feminist imperative for young women to put education and career ahead of family mean that most younger women wind up having only a string of brief sexual affairs with the high-status men, and not their babies, while climbing the corporate ladder. When, no longer fertile and no longer desired by the alphas, they decide to "settle" for the lower-status men they ruthlessly rejected in their youth, these men understandably won't give them the time of day. And thus, as Devlin aptly shows, we in the West are getting a double whammy: hordes of lonely, alienated bachelors *and* stagnant or declining national populations.Devlin, an independent scholar with a Ph.D. in political philosophy, is a rigorous thinker and fantastic writer clearly unconcerned with being perceived as racist or misogynistic -- and for that reason, he will never be appearing in the pages of National Review or getting tenure in a university humanities department. It's their loss. This book is well worth the money, especially for young, college-age men who sense that everything society is telling them about women is a massive lie but would like solid arguments for that belief. My only reason for the four-star rating is that I felt Devlin gave religion short shrift. He is understandably contemptuous of Christian "conservatives" who blame everything on evil, selfish men failing to sufficiently pamper their wives. But for well over a thousand years, Christianity was the major cultural force in the West upholding traditional marriage and gender roles. It is hard to imagine what could ever replace it. Devlin does mention Christian Democracy approvingly, but it would have been nice to see a more detailed discussion of this point.

Loved the journeys these characters went through By Mommynificent I really enjoyed the journeys that several of the characters in this novella go through to find out who they really are now that they know Christ. For each of them, this involves weeding through their pasts and who they used to be as well as sorting out other people's expectations of them and their current status quo. Asking themselves what they are willing to change to be and do what God wants them to. The characters were fun and witty, and I really enjoyed getting to know them. The bevy of little matchmakers in the surrounding community were pretty funny too. I would love to see more books about these characters, especially Sadie's daughter Mari!

Loved this Novella By Linda Rainey I loved this Christmas novella A Kinda Country Christmas by Krista Phillips.The characters of Sadie and Nate are fun and I loved the action in the book.What I loved the most was the true meaning of Christmas.I am glad I got to meet the work of this new author( to me).

Sadie Jenkins raised her daughter with the help of her parents in a small town in Tennessee and inherited their Christmas themed store in a seriously Christmas themed town. A small town girl. Nate Myers has been a high rolling, high living, fun loving bachelor with no interest in permanence — until Jesus got hold of him and turned his life and his priorities around. Both Sadie and Nate love Jesus but just aren't sure even He can mesh their livestyles, not to mention their lives. They have to learn that no problem is too big for Him to settle. You'll love watching them realize Hes already worked things out. I read this story in the bundle of 8 Christmas love stories titled "Love's Gift." Don't pass us this great deal for 8 great reads.
