EC comics were not the only game in town in the 1950's; as the saying goes, "Everyone wants in on the act!" between the covers one will find treasures published by the OTHER guys. Generally not as beautifully illustrated at those produced by Bill Gaines, these comics are still very much worth a look. Fans of "Tales From The Crypt" will discover a treasure trove of twist endings, wry humor, and benign gross outs. Like all collections, the stories vary in quality from outstanding to pedestrian. My favorite, a klutzy scientist who conspires with his beautiful but greedy wife to dupe an insurance company. Very funny ending and, for the time, a surprising amount of implied nudity. Recommended for comic fans of all stripes. A true gem.
