Poignant in its own way and a must read for those whose lives are touched by autistic young ones. Helmer nails the adjusted mindset and lifestyle many parents have made when faced with this common dilemma, but sets a light-hearted tone against a humorous and who’d-a-thunk-it wild story. Not one to be shackled by convention, Helmer also utilizes a variety of fonts and sizes to set the volume in appropriate places, an effective experiment. The story moves along in a sensible way, surprisingly, and one is left wondering just what the limits to autistic genius are. And much to his credit, in my opinion, large corporations aren’t portrayed as the greedy, thieving criminals so typical in most stories. Though outnumbered, there are in fact some very magnanimous and charitable heads of corporations that freely reward deserving ones rather than steal from them. A refreshing read from cover to cover.
