We used to brush off harsh behavior, say it was part of growing up, or kids need to learn how to manage themselves etc… no. It is what it is. Bullying. It is the worst part of ourselves, and it’s about time we call it what it really is. One part of bullying, that we have overlooked- is that it doesn’t stop when we leave school. There is also a continuing bullying culture within our workplaces. This book does a good job of bringing our attention to this topic-area as well. She does a good job of explaining the subtle forms bullying can take, and the impacts it can have. The one type, I don’t think she covered, is how one colleague ( or a few) can turn a workplace-workforce against a person—where it isn’t outright malicious bullying- but a subtle form of it… a subtle derogatory comment here or there… creating an isolated field around a certain individual, with an air of hostility or contempt in it. But the author does go into some good ways to handle bullying- both in terms of its broader context growing up, and within the workplace. I think the most important aspect of changing this ongoing mean-spirited issue, is to bring our awareness to it- so we see it for what it is, when it happens. I wish she had also included support ideas for the third-party people.. those that witness and may not be the target…. But can choose to respond one way, or another… THOSE people are the ones who really determine the social norms

By Cher Barlow As much as I can I want to work alone as I tend to experience social anxiety at times. This rooted from when I was in high school. I had many experiences with difficult people and it stuck to me that most people are difficult to deal with and are mean. So, back then, I decided to work alone. However, if I want to succeed in life, I would have to deal with people from time to time. So since I can't afford therapy, I am trying to just read things out and possibly apply what I learn.I have started applying what I learned from this book, though I have yet to see results. With this book, I learned many things about difficult and mean people. I also learned the best way in dealing with them. I particularly liked how the book elaborately discussed the topic of bullying in different scenarios and how to better deal with bullying. The book might be a short read, but it has strong and good points worth learning.

The progressions on the most proficient method to manage them fittingly is laid out on the second part.Individuals are exceptional from one another, they have a considerable measure of contrasts and those distinctions regularly turned into the subject of contradictions notwithstanding tormenting.
