Learning the difference between existing and truly living. Two powerfully written characters Jordan and Abby pushed together at the worst points of their lives.Jordan Brooks the rock that kept his family together, even as he began his professional football career with the San Francisco 49ers. Until he got that fateful call from his mother that sent his life in a tailspin."Mom, for God's sake. Stop crying so I can understand you! Let me fix your problem so I can get back to my own life!!!""Jordan, your sister was killed last night." ~Jordan finding out his whole life was about to changeAt first Jordan seems like a complete selfish man who is too immature to even worry or care about anyone but himself. But he creeps into your heart as he leaves his dream behind and returns to Montana to take over his families 7,000 acre ranch, Wild Brook Ranch.Caring for his catatonic mother and a ranch with a minimal amount of ranch hands, Jordan gains respect. He will worm his way into your heart as a nice boy next door. He is even respectful to a homeless girl, he takes in giving her a room and board in exchange for working on the ranch. (Hint: the homeless girl is Abby.)Abigail Dunn or Abby to her friends is the daughter of Bradford Dunn a senator in Texas that is up for re-election. Her mother Jean, is the typical trophy wife. She stands silently by and watches without any ability to do anything. At twenty years old Abby had done everything her parents had ever asked until she started dating Tyler.Against her father's wishes, Abby takes off on a road trip with Tyler. After Senator Dunn cuts Abby off Tyler takes all of her money, her car and leaves her stranded. At first you will feel like well this little rich girl got what she deserved, then you see there is so much more to her.Her character developes and you see her go from spoiled rich girl to frighted homeless girl to hard working ranch hand and woman. Seeing her journey is very special. These two characters have known great loss, but they are able to pick themselves up, dust off and keep going. This is a wonderfully written story and worth every moment spent reading it. It gives hope that everyone has their `One' out there. The Ratings*:Hero: 4.5Heroine: 4Story/Plot/HEA: 4.5*The rating system is based on 1-5, 5 being the best and 1 the worst.Hero - The main male character of the story. On a trip to town a turn of advent put Abby in Jordan path. Feeling like they can help each other she needs a place to stay and work, Jordan needs help with the house and cooking and chores around the house. The dont get off on the right foot. During their time together they form a friendship then more but Abby's pass comes back to either help or hurt what Jordan and Abby have make together . I will not give any spoilers this is and really good rad. Hazel wrote a great story about Two people from totally different worlds that just might bridge those worlds together to make a life togther.

By Caymantwins Jordan has worked hard to make it to the big time but a tragedy occurs that makes him look at his priorities. Abby has been disowned by her affluent family and has hit rock bottom with nowhere to go. Until…fate brings these two battered souls face to face. The struggle to understand one another is ever present and learning a new way of life for both of them is challenging. Responsibility, loyalty, trust and understanding are the key to making things work. They work hard to building a friendship and you can feel the attraction between them that they are both denying until one day when Abby finally lets her guard down. Their attraction and feelings for one another are real and beautiful. Just when everything is working out circumstances beyond their control from Abby’s family force her to make a decision she doesn’t want to make. Jordan is left questioning what is really important in his life and realizes that the unknown battle ahead will not stop him from getting the woman he loves. This is a beautiful love story. It is a quick read, but the characters lure you in and the story flows well. I wanted more, but Hazel did an excellent job with the epilogue and left me feeling very satisfied!
