6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. Loved Lady Elizabth By ncdworak Loved Lady Elizabeth!!! I found this new twist to a old favorite refreshing. There are lies and deceit for the happiness for one family and sorrow for another. Our heroine, Elizabeth must come to terms with her past and future. The range of emotions from the main characters is so real that you want to either shakes or comfort them. I very highly recommend this novel, can't wait for book two to come out. On my list of books to be re-read.

The writing (and editing, thank you! Thank you!) are well done and the premise is rather interesting. I've read a lot of P&P fan fiction where Elizabeth has not been raised a Bennet, but not for the reasons described in this story. The other aspect of this book that I found enjoyable is that Darcy is appealing right from the start; he's interesting and thoughtful and is not characterized as arrogant and overly prideful which mean less hostility from Elizabeth. That appeals to me. The chemistry between them is palpable, but still controlled at this point. I hope that it will bloom as we advance in the story. So far the Bennet's appear as in canon, but it will be interesting to see in Volume 2 if that continues to be true given the circumstances. Love the picture on the cover jacket. I wish we could see her whole face!
