The young couple was shunned by their family and friends for something that did not seem too serious in my opinion.The family was greatly impacted by the ban since Miriam was going to give birth to her second child in a few weeks. That meant she would not have the help and support of her family.The couple went through a period of prayer and self reflection before they found out if they would be accepted back into the Amish community. I learned some new things about Amish traditions by reading this book. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves Amish fiction.

I really like how the story can be followed and enjoyed without the new to read the rest of the books in t he series. I've read the other books in the series but it has been so long that I hardly remembered the story. That's why it was very nice reading this book and not having to go back re-read the series.The story will allow you to get an even better understanding of the Amish life. The Amish take their religion very seriously so this book shows how much they really do care about it.
