Irish Legend Reborn in a Graphic Book-Love it By Mia Johnson This book is a good graphic novel for every one to read.The story deals on ancient historic warfare and it is a fabulous story.The Irish worrier's character impresses the reader's mind,The book is illustrative and the author has paid a greater attention in clearly emphasizing the image in order to convey the story.The pictures are highly descriptive and they stand for a millions of "not mentioned words" in the book.The author has given the story within bubbles where it is necessary. The troubles of Irish tribes and kings actions are woven along the story and the story is highly descriptive and interesting.I love this book and it is outstanding. Youngsters as well as the elders will definitely be impressed by this book.

I am a big fan of ancient warfare and this one focusing on Irish warriors who try to liberate Ireland from Norse invaders has been really fun to read. The main character Brian Boru is larger than life and the epic moves and strategy he employed has been fascinating to follow. The illustrations were awesome and added up to the experience so much. A great graphic novel that is well written and with a rich theme that has been really memorable. Glad I found this one!

By Maddie B I've left a similar review on the novel version of this graphic novel, which I read previous to this one. I've gotta say, it's one thing to experience the story of Brian Boru through text, but it's a whole other level when you see the blood, tears, and barbarism in some of these pages (just have a look at the preview!).As I mentioned in my previous reviews, Mark Mahon is quite an accomplished writer. Freedom Within The Heart may quite possibly be his best work to date. It’s an easy read about the story of an Irish king that is full of excitement, fictional lore, and compelling story telling.As a lover of fictional war titles, I can highly recommend this book with great confidence. The story has everything that one could love when reading a book about revenge, especially in a war genre. In this book, you will constantly be worried about the fate of the Irish clans, and whether or not they will succumb to the enemy, or will Brian Boru, the admirable King be able to avenge his family?The author effectively demonstrates both the tragedies of war as well as the importance of history of one noble leader and their service for an entire nation.I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in historical fiction, war, especially if you like em’ dramatic. Teenagers and adults alike will enjoy this read.
