About the Author Paul Goodman is husband to his amazing wife, Julie, and father to three wonderful children. He originally started his walk with the Holy Spirit at the Brownsville in 1997 and he has been hot pursuit of Jesus ever since. He and Julie are currently the children’s pastors at Dayspring Church in Springfield, MO. Paul also works as a full time special education teacher and has taught students with learning and emotional disabilities for nine years. Paul loves to play superheroes and My Little Pony (with his children). He also loves to jog with his favorite jogging buddy, Julie, and watch the Packers with her as well.

It should be read immediately by every parent, children's worker, and teacher! My kiddos are very small, and I am very thankful I read this book now because it not only inspired me to create this culture in my home, but gave incredible practical tools to do just that (every chapter ends with practical activities). Paul writes with humor, encouragement, vulnerability, and genuine passion. He does not present an unattainable set of standards that will make you feel like a failure as a parent; instead, he paints a picture of an incredible future and then gives you a starting point and steps to reach that goal. I am a small group leader and enthusiast, and this short book would be perfect as a small group curriculum: short chapters with practical exercises that could be done during the week... absolutely perfect for parenting groups!

One of my life dreams is to raise children that know Jesus for themselves and love Him deeply. I have long been aware of my inability to make that happen without God's help. I can live for Christ and point my children to Him, but only He can encounter their hearts, make them come alive, and fall in love with Him. This is why I love "Seasoned: Infusing the Flavor of the Spirit into Your Home" by Paul Goodman. Paul shows us that we don't have to passively sit back and wish for God to touch our children. There are many practical ways that we can position our kids for life changing God-encounters. This book is filled with many fun and simple ideas for leading our children into the Presence of God. I also love the fact that Paul is a very gifted writer so it reads very easily. God has helped Paul put together a biblically sound, practical, and easy-to-read book that will be a blessing to those who read it.

I only wish I had this book as I raised my children. Paul has some great ideas and very practical to put into practice for raising Godly children and bringing the presence of God into the home.
