By Steven Graybill Every Western Evangelical Christian needs to sit down and take the time to read this book! Whereas many theologians look at Genesis 12 as the beginning of the land promises within the Bible, Isaac argues convincingly that they begin in Genesis one and two with the Garden and Adam. Tying the promise of the land to Adam and the Garden, for Isaac, has massive repercussions for how the theology of the land plays out throughout the rest of the Old Testament and the New Testament with the coming of the Christ-event. Isaac, admittedly states that one should question whether his argument is supercessionist and his argument certainly treads that line. However, in my honest opinion, Isaac presents his argument with a strong conviction soaked in grace. As a Western Christian residing just outside of Washington DC, my faith is continually challenged through the forgotten Christians that walk the streets and breathe the same air that a Jewish Carpenter from Nazareth did some 2000 years ago. The time is now that we start giving them a listening ear with an open heart.
