About the Author Sarah grew up in Ohio and currently lives in Texas with her husband and their four children. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. I really enjoy all kinds of books By heidi l. I really enjoy all kinds of books, but love a good Regency novel. This book did not disappoint! The theme of Hope and Faith is clear in the novel, but not pushy and false. The characters are so endearing that I want to share a meal with them, or walk with them in the park. They feel real and personal. By the end of the book I was seriously invested in their joys and their struggles. I can't wait for the next installment and hope we get to see Penelope and Ash again!

I came to love the characters and enjoyed the plot immensely. I wish the book hadn't left us hanging as to the background story of Ash's, and hopefully the author will include that in the next book. This book has stays true to Christian morals and values. I have found I can't always trust what is labelled as Christian anymore, so it was wonderful to find one that truly fit the "billing."

It had an interesting storyline and great description of life, fashions and language usage of the times. If this is a first novel, it was a good one and I look forward to her future endeavors.
