I keep thinking these books cannot get any more prfound in their historical description and their total in depth creation of characters we are growing to love more as they develop and grow in our hearts. Being a teacher of students at risk, I would use these books for many fold purposes: They give the historical feeling of the times so the student can approach history with realism; they give the emotional issues our forefathers had, of food supply, traveling in small wagons with all their belongings, not having baths, or water at times, and being happy with what they had, which was one another and God leading them. I personally in my college studies and teaching career have not found a more well rounded series of books which combing high interest, and are well written, descriptive and keep the reader onthe edge of his or her seat wanting to read more. In addition the peace brought just reading them is prfound asit brings the reader into a sense of profound gratitude not only for country, but for ancestoral connecections and for the qualities we have of enduance , persistence and perseverance. The books are great role models for allof us to follow. I can hardly wait for book four now, after passing these on to teacher friends and students alikewho are all discovering this new author and her vision of a life of appreciation, and characters who illustrate tous that we indeed have best life ever in America standing for Principle, and Truth and guided by Love. ENJOY THEM!!
