About the Author Retirement from a long career in education left Susan with many possibilities for how to occupy her leisure time. She has beautifully managed to evoke the social and political milieu of the decade with a plot full of surprises, well-developed characters, and nostalgic descriptions of Madison, Shorewood, and the UW. Fascinating read that I couldn't put down on this holiday weekend.
