About the Author A native of Brooklyn, New York, J.K. Hamilton is presently the Ministering Evangelist of the Mountain View Church of Christ in Dallas, Texas, where he has ministered for the last fifteen years. He and his wife, Carole, have thee daughters. He holds an undergraduate degree from Southwestern Christian College and a Master’s degree in Professional Development and Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. He is currently in pursuit of his Doctorate in ministry. J.K. Hamilton has also authored and co-authored various books including: Ministering on the Highway of Crisis: Essays for Issues, The Me In My Mess, 24 Practical Pastoral Pointers, and Open Book Status. He has also written for many publications and periodicals over the years.

I highly recommend this book for newlyweds! J.K. Hamilton expresses some of the difficulties you can expect to face in a new marriage and how to successful overcome them God's way. Hamilton has a clear, concise, and even humorous viewpoint that make him very relatable. Of course, he references scriptures from the Bible as the foundation of his viewpoints. I read some of the chapters aloud with my wife and we realized that our marriage is like many others and we face many of the same challenges. Oftentimes, people pretend like they have a perfect marriage. J.K. Hamilton is an open book in this read.

You really affirmed me as a single person. Every now and again, I find the need to have this affirmation because I forget living in a twosome world. My only problem is I wanted more.
