I would recommend this book to teachers By Mary Jo Landry I would recommend this book to teachers, administrators, and those raising and helping to raise young children. I applaud Mrs. Leet for writing this book and sharing her experiences in the classroom. She was/is an advocate for the student and spoke for them -- not just to the school administration, but to parents and grandparents as well. I found myself wanting to be in her classroom as a student. It touched my heart that she and her husband made Thanksgiving dinner for her students. Was this the only Thanksgiving Dinner that some of the students may have had? Her teaching style/methods for 4K and Kindergarten students was spot on. What a great mentor for new teachers. I hope she is back in a classroom very soon.As for some of the other reviews I read I can only say "Yuck-A-Doodle"!

By RLL1210 Insightful book on how the inner workings of a large school district that really makes you think about what is going on on your child's school.A must read for parents and people who are considering a future in this profession.Knowing that teachers and staff get treated so poorly makes you have more respect for the people who TEACH your children. These people are the main people to influence your child's behaviors and views of the world around them.Caring, loving teachers with a strong value system and a down to earth realization of what is needed in a structured school day is a rare find these days.

Zellner I want to thank Rhonda Leet for writing this book. She has exposed so many shocking realities in the school system. We should all take a good look at ourselves and our priorities in regards to how we educate children. This book will, hopefully, start some constructive discussions as to how best we can serve our teachers and our children. Thanks again, Rhonda, for having the courage to speak up!
