Superman and Wonder Woman are represented as you expect - they are supporting characters and moral pillars. The Batman, GL and Flash characters are fascinating here (I don't want to give their stories away, but they are all presented as human, interesting, flawed and yet still heroic).Wilfredo Torres's art is outstanding - it reminds me of Darwyn Cooke, which is very high praise. The appearance of Herbert Hoover and the reference to L. Ron Hubbard were quite entertaining and fitting.

Normally Mark Millars books although great border on almost adolescent in pace and premise By kevin luis Millar really dives in to the human element of these heroes. The overall superhero-ing plays out in the background and you really get to see that who they are as people. I was not really expecting how deep it takes you in to their lives, and it was a very pleasant surprise. Normally Mark Millars books although great border on almost adolescent in pace and premise, but this is something entirely adult and mature not just in terms of content but in showing us that these beings at the end of the day can be flawed, and although super they are very much in fact human. A great read and very much worth it.

More scandals follow but also a lot of evidence that, when it comes down to it, these heroes are also human with positive and negative traits. Plenty of action, some sex and violence.Nicely written and quite well-illustrated, it’s enjoyable and engaging. Well worth a look. Volume 1 so probably more to come.
