About the Author Shanette Booker is a resident of Beaufort, South Carolina, the author of Love, The Unspoken Words, a loving mother of three, and the honorable wife of the late Army Staff Sergeant Andre Booker; whom she dedicates her writings to. Or I suspect for someone who has loss a spouse. After a friend losing a spouse I never knew what to say . This book helped me in ways to not"put my foot in my mouth".

By Gigi After the latest number of events, deaths in our gold star community, the angelversary of my hero...and so forth.. the month of July will never be the same not just for me but for many others. I finally finished reading this amazing book, I laughed and I cried.. I went thru my Rollercoaster of emotions yet when I finished I felt a sense of peace and relief. My dearestShanette Booker, madre goose, widster, sister, partner in crime... you have captured all of the crazies that happens to us widows in this book... u have described it better than I ever could have... you have put it in simple words for the world to truly understand. I want to hand this to everyone I know and say. Here... read this.. it's your guide and instruction manual on how to handle my widowhood... or at least help u understand how to begin to handle it. Darling I am so proud of you and I know Dre is too, because as I was reading word for word I understood you even more than I already do... Definitely a must read for anyone who knows a widow and even for those who don't know a widow, it's still a great eye opener into the world of widowhood and what they go through.
