A readable ecchi but it is not quite that By residentgrigo I mostly stick to American/European comics when it comes to comics about sex, the award-winning Sex Criminals comes to mind, as Japanese ones tend to be generic or highly creepy or just porn by volumes 2 at the latest so that i am writing a review speaks volumes of the quality shown here. Love in Hell may not be a masterpiece but the best this kind of publication has to offer as it is eventually a heartfelt drama about child abuse and well just read it. The artist is memorable, the satire works very well and it even takes the genre apart to a point. The gore is high octane and a fun aspect of the story but probably the reason why the manga did not go on longer as this narrative is ultimately just too dark to survive the target audience the publisher probably intended. The end should have come later as the world/designs are way too good to be left alone but the reason behind Senkawa's torment is well done and i liked the cute romance thus i would read a sequel. Move on to The Penisman (8/10) by ISHIDA Sui (known for Tokyo Ghoul which i also reviewed) for another violent Ecchi that puts story first or Ike! Inachuu Takkyuubu (7,5/10) as it is funny and pay the classic Dr. Slump (8,5/10) a visit.
